Chocolate pudding was a favorite treat of mine while growing up in the States, and it turns out that it's just as popular in Morocco, where a creamy chocolate dessert known as Danette is so well-loved by children, that it can be found in almost any neighborhood grocery store. Unfortunately, the portion size of the commercial product is a bit too small to satisfy, so while I may buy the packaged cream dessert to stick it in my kids lunch bags, if I want to offer it at home, it's best to make it myself. This Chocolate Danette Recipe will show how easy it is to achieve the creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor that makes Danette so palate-pleasing.
Be forewarned not to taste too much as you cook, though, or you'll find yourself left with much smaller servings than you had intended!
